High Chemical Resistant Surface Protection Epoxy
DESCRIPTION
Deltacoat HCR is a high performance two components solvent based epoxy coating which is used in all kinds of manufacturing, storage and processing areas to provide an excellent chemical resistant.
Deltacoat HCR can be applied on concrete / cement based surface, mild steel, zine.
USES
High chemical resistant surface protection for wall and light duty area.
ADVANTAGES
- Excellent Chemical Resistance
- Formulated for use in hot climates
- Good adhesion to the concrete substrate
APPLICATION INSTRUCTION
Surface Preparation
For maximum product performance, proper and thorough surface preparation is necessary. This is particularly important in aggressive industrial or high corrosion environments. The surface to be coated must be clean and free of rust, dirt, oil, grease, wax, mildew, defective old coating and other poorly adhering material that could interfere with adhesion. Avoid the inhalation of dust.
New surfaces must be brushed with a stiff brush to remove all loose surface materials porous surfaces must be sealed with a thinned first coat.
Mixing
Stir component 'A' thoroughly, then mix with component 'B' in a 4 : 1 weight ratio. Stir this mixture thoroughly for 3 minutes and allow a 5-minutes induction time before application. This ratio of mixing should not be varied, and should be finished use in 1 hour.
Application
For brush application, use a quality synthetic filament brush. For rolling, use a short nap mohair cover. Deltacoat HCR dries to touch in 3 hours, dry in 6 hours. Any preexisting finish that is glossy will need to be sanded before top coating. Cured in 1 day, full durability of the coating is achieved after the normal 7 days curing period.
Cleaning
After use, remove as much paint as possible from brushes before cleaning with solvant (Tolusne/Xylene).
Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.

Note : The resotion of epoxies commences immediately after the two components are mixed. This reastion is temperature related and so the curing time will be approximately halved by a 10ºC for sealing new or have surfaces apply epoxy primer before top coat.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Deltacoat HCR contains epoxy resins which can be irritating to eyes and skin. Wear suitable protective clothing – eye protection, gloves and respiratory equipment, particularly in confined spaces. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with the skin, rinse with plenty of clean water, then cleanse thoroughly with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately. Avoid the inhalation of dust, wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Keep out of the reach of children.
FIRE
Deltacoat HCR is flammable materials.
