Fast Setting Pavement Repair Material

DESCRIPTION

Deltacon FS is a ready to use blend of dry silica powders, graded aggregates, PC and specially formulated polymer additives which requires only the addition of clean water in site to produce a highly consistent, high compressive strength, free-flowing and high performance repair material.

USES

For emergency reinstatement of damaged or deteriorated concrete pavement, very suitable for repairs such as concrete roads, factory floors, airport runways, aprons and areas where traffic requires fast return to service. It may be applied for internal and external uses. For the reinstatement of large areas of repairs, the addition of clean sands and aggregates is recommended.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

Deltacrete strongly suggest that the application of this material can only be executed by experienced and competent applicator as authorized by Deltacrete.

Surface Preparation

Do the correct methods of preparation normally applied for concrete repairs as suggested and directed by Deltacrete technical team.

Priming

Do the correct methods of priming normally applied for concrete repairs as suggested and directed by Deltacrete technical team. Use Deltabond SB as priming agent with coverage of 0.3 litres per m².

Mixing

Do the correct methods of mixing normally applied for concrete repairs as suggested and directed by Deltacrete technical team. Mix 4 – 4.5 litres of drinking water with 25 kg bag of Deltacon FS which will yield up to 13 litres of mortar. Mix accordingly as per Deltacrete technical team instruction.

Placing

Do the correct methods of placing normally applied for concrete repairs as suggested and directed by Deltacrete technical team. Deltacon FS can be applied up to 120 mm thickness in a single application.

For section thicker than 120 mm and less than 300 mm, it is recommended to mix Deltacon FS with clean sands and graded aggregates in order to minimise internal thermal development.

The following mix design should be considered:

25 kgs Deltacon FS

4 – 4.5 litres of clean water

10.5 kgs of 6 to 12 mm aggregate

6.5 kgs of zone 2 sand

Trial mixes should be made in order to ensure the optimum addition of both water and aggregate.

STORAGE

Deltacon FS has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry store in the original, unopened bags.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Deltacon FS may cause harm in some direct skin contact, avoid direct contact with skins.

Protective gloves and eye protection are highly recommended during work of application.

Deltacon FS is non-flammable material.
